Packaging help for Gentoo

Hi,

I would like to package Ion for Gentoo Linux. Right now it is unfortunately not possible, because the build relies on cargo fetching git dependencies, which is forbidden in Gentoo.

Will it be possible in the future (e.g. for the 1.0 release) to make releases for all dependencies that are now referenced directly from git and upload them to crates.io? This will be the only way to allow Gentoo packaging. I am happy to help with this process as well!
