Get return code from subshell directly
This is a feature proposal to add a subshell syntax to get the return code, $?
directly.
The theoretical behavior could be to unlike $()
and @()
not swallow stdin
but the return value.
An example syntax could be:
let err:int = ?(mayfail)
This might as well require the addition of a return
keyword that is currently missing.
