Usage on the web and WebGPU
Hello! first congrats, this looks nice, I was planning to start creating a graphical toolkit but I might just start from here.
One of my main goals is to target the web so I was wondering how this toolkit plays with the web in its current state, is it light? I see there are some examples that compile to wasm, but what is it using under the hood? a custom layer on top of the canvas 2d context or webgl?
I also see you guys have plans for vulkan/openGl in the future, I wanted to start creating something simple on top of this rust WebGPU crate backed by Mozilla and on top of that something like Lyon to easy the drawing of 2d objects with a graphics API(there's simple examples on drawing paths using wgpu).
Would using WebGPU as the core underlying technology make sense or this project? it's still quite early and experimental but seems like the way to go, it will be the one way to draw accelerated graphics on the web and works outside of the web as well fixing the opengl/vulkan/metal/directx madness.
