Description
Boot up stopped with the above errors today and on another day when booting from BIOS using a USB stick with a Redox iso dd'd onto it.
Environment info
Booted from my x86_64 HP Pavilion G6-2288ca Notebook (CPU: AMD A10 Aruba piledriver; with Radeon Graphics). My router was turned on and plugged in, with only ethernet turned on; wifi is disabled in the router settings.
- Redox OS Release: 0.3.4
Note 1: In case this is relevant, one of my USB jacks (USB 2.0?) was damaged when my notebook fell to the ground years ago; sometimes, I can plug in an expansion backup drive and it works there sometimes, with some OS's. There is another USB (2.0?) available and operational, but the Redox USB stick was plugged into the only USB 3.0 jack. Notably, also, the battery hardly retains power.
Note 2: My BIOS has never been knowingly updated since the notebook was produced in 2012. I wonder whether it has been hacked into at some point.
Aside from Issue #1121 (closed), there have been the following kinds of error messages instead when starting up. These occurred after a long session on another Linux operating system (perhaps due to the notebook being too warm? As noted above, the battery hardly retains power).
Steps to reproduce
If I choose 1024x768@32 resolution on bootup, bootup continues but then stops; that log is partly transcribed below, mostly from the second session that emitted these errors.
