Can't boot in UEFI mode on Lenovo Ideapad 320-15IKB

The bootloader shows the screen resolution selector and the kernel file load progress, but once it is loaded, a black screen is shown. If I insert an emergency_reset() call at the start of kmain, nothing happens, suggesting that the problem is either somewhere inside the handover from the bootloader to the kernel or when exiting boot services.
