-
GitHub Accelerator - Apply in the new year. Mostly requires an individual applicant, not a group. 2024 program was focused on AI, we did not apply. -
Google Summer of Code - Requires a mentor to volunteer, they will propose a student. 2024 application was denied. Apply again February 2025. -
Sovereign Tech Fund - they sponsor many FOSS projects. Apply Spring 2024. Minimum amount Euro 150K. -
NLnet - they sponsor many Internet projects for decades. Applied previously. We are under consideration for the February 2024 call. It is open for additional proposals. A new broad fund is open with a new call every 2 months. -
Prossimo - they sponsor memory-safe projects. -
Mozilla - mostly focused on social aspects of technology; they might not have a category for us. -
Tech Fund - this appears to be a startup accelerator. -
NSF - Proposals due by September 5, 2024. -
Open Tech Fund - they are a US government agency that fund "internet freedom" projects. They use a milestone-contract approach rather than grants. We need to do a preliminary proposal, then they will contact us if they are interested in a detailed proposal.
