A targeted platform

Hi @jackpot51 ,

I found out about your Redox project back in 2017 from Bryan Lunduke's show and thought it was a coolest thing I had ever seen. I went ahead and built the project which at the time was even smaller than it is now and had a lot of fun playing around with Redox. Today I was thinking about Redox which lead me to figure out ways the system could start to actually gain some notoriety down the road. I quickly realized that in order to do this, Redox would need a platform to target. I'm not sure how far you plan to go with this project but I think it could be a reasonable goal to target something like the Raspberry Pi.

My thought process is that Redox could be really useful in this space as a desktop and since the Pi has a specific set of hardware, it would be easier target to hit at first. Secondly, as you know the Pi is very popular with a lot of people running all kinds of things on it. At the moment, there are a handful of desktops that run well but in my experience nothing runs super well so this is something Redox can possibly change. On the media side of things, I think you can get some worthy news with Redox running on the Pi with first class support. I think the Pi is a perfect fit for a project like Redox and feel that it just makes a ton of sense.

I am excited to hear some feedback from anyone on this topic and hope I didn't write too much.

Thanks
